The Supervision Rota Paradox

At the top of every copy of the Summerway Supervision Rota, with the exception of this web site, is an extremely important paragraph. It is so vital that on this web site it has a page all of its own! The paradox is that it appears on printed copies of the Rota in a rectangular GREY AREA immediately under the heading, when in fact it ought to appear in LETTERS OF FIRE! Here it is:

A supervising Adult must always be actually present on the premises whenever Playing Members are at the Club, whether in or out of ‘rota time’. Please make this abundantly clear to all Playing Members. If you are unable to supervise at the time allocated, please make arrangements to exchange duties with another parent on the rota list. Duty Rota Supervisors should attend irrespective of weather conditions, if only to carefully inspect and ensure that the premises are secure and in order, and to sign the duty rota sheet in the supervisors’ folder, commenting if appropriate.

Here are some gentle breezes to cool you down after reading the paragraph above!
